my friend just stumbled onto a LIVE stream of some ass playing Assassin's Creed 2. I don't know what upsets me more- the clerks that were stupid enough to rent the game to the guy despite it not beign out till TUESDAY,

or the fact that IM not the one playing it! Worse, he was almost at the end of the FUCKING GAME.. Im not going to link the stream here. Primarily because i dont think its right for pricks like that to take all our waiting and make us suffer as he rubs it in our faces. and also because that douche has enough viewers as it is. why grace his channel with more. *headdesk*

God this sucks. Tuesday needs to hurry up and fucking get here so I can bladerape people.

yaknow something's wrong when you waltz into gamestop and they're /offering/ to give you the displays. Now, my gamestop is small. like. half the size of every other gamestop in town. so they're pressed for space and their displays dont stay up for long...

Last time I tried to get a display from them though, I got shafted. I go there, ask for it. they say 'Sure! Just put your name and number on the back! We can't legally call you so just check back in every few days!'
A week passed, I called in. they said it was no longer on the floor and the sales associate that handled my call said he couldnt find it in the storage room.

I go back the next day to put money down on a new game, and the manager's there. I explain the situation and she goes 'Oh we just threw it out this morning'. Of coruse my mind just implodes that moment. My only saving grace is the gamestop a few miles away from here still had theirs and no one wanted it. so I used it as an excuse to go visit Its the Prototype display, incase yu're wonderin'.

so. back to the story, I go into Gamestop to put money down on AC, and the employee jokingly says 'Not going to miss this limited edition, eh?'. He recalled the stink i made about a certain black prototype collectors edition guide... I responded, 'Nope. Though I suppose that's my punishment for buying games through steam.'lets just say never again. I'm going to gamestop for all my games now >_> *grumbles*

So the associate steps back, laughing as he pulles aside the giant glass case plastered with empty ac2 cases, "Oh and btw when we're done, you can have... THIS.' and reveals a rather sizable poster, mostly unmarred by logos or disclaimers." then he points at the back of the store, "I know you didnt get the prototype one from us and the ac2 one isnt claimed yet...'

I need a bigger bedroom! D:

Oh and I swear im working on those commissions guys. I've been spending the last 3 nights at the book store! Productive cat is productive!

for those of you that read my last journal, you all know that we had some nasty weather move through.
THankfully the rest of the weekend went ALOT better! Friday afternoon, we spend 3 hours waiting at the bus station for my friend Ayeaka. got home, zombied for a while. played games, went to eat dinner at joes crab shack.
saturday we finished up my roommate's partial suit in time for halloween and we went suiting out at the louisnana boardwalk. we were too late for the rick or treating but we still got to ee some kids and hug them.

today went awesomely too. I went by WIlson's leather on the boardwalk, lookin fer a specific jacket. they had 1 left, and it was medium. there's another store a good distance away that's gunna ship a larger one here so I can buy it.. Its a jacket that closely resembles the one Alex mercer wears. Im also going to have the design on the back printed DD
I was gunna buy the replica jacket from a friend (the manager at the gamestop in pierre bossier mall) but she turned me down. I offered her 1500usd for it.....
so i'll just buy the jacket myself and make it >.>
and when I got back to my apartment, my package from ebay was waiting for me my altair figure! I was amazed at the level of articulation O-O hips, knees, ankles. shoulders, elbows and wrists. head, waist. the hidden blade extends and retracts, it has 2 hand types. the sword comesout of its sheath, same with the short sword.

so now I have Alex Mercer and Altair Ibn La-Ahad. :3 all thats left is to add Ezio Auditore de Firenze to my collection and my hooded badass army shall be complete!

Sometimes I really.. really hate living in the south. And more specifically, Northwest louisiana.

If you watched the news tonight, or flipped past the weather channel, you likely saw something about deadly thunderstorms in the Shreveport bossier area.

The news is still going on and on about the first tornadoe touch down. The twister passed within half a mile of my house but not before dealing damage to the town's oldest church- the steeple which was 30 feet in diamater, made of solid metal, stone and plaster work, toppled off the massive sanctuary and smashed into a car-- with someone on it. The man's alive but listed in critical condition now. To top it off, the twister ripped through the neighborhood of a friend. She spent the larger part of the night redirecting traffic. there were areas on the road that had caught fire due to wires on the ground.
Lets add a dose of insult injury by dumping more than 6 inches of rain-- in 4 hours. my parkinglot to my apartment complex is flooded up to my knees. My neighbors and I admittedly played around until it got too cold to whitstand. our expected low went from 61 to 49...
The news didnt even mention the second twister though. It (thankfully) passed harmlessly by. still came too close for my liking.
Oh, and lets not forget the fact that i sat in the dark for close to 7 hours. halfway through that ordeal, my mother lost power as well meaning i quite literally had no ties to the electronic world. no way of knowing if a twister was headed for me or not.
The only good thing to come out of tonight is the hope for a better tomorrow

-oh and a pretty badass sketch of altair. (that idea i had in my last journal. I got it on paper, woo!)

I'd rather not relive tonight any time soon :[ was Most unpleasent. my roommate didnt think much of the twisters. He came from arizona where dust storms threaten them daily. He doesn't really understand the power a tornadoe carries.. he thinks its just a bunch of wind..
yeah, wind that could drive a straw through your skull like a hot knife through butter. Tornadoes are rated as the deadliest natural disastsrs known to man- above hurricanes. the amount of force one vortex can generate inside of the average 20-40 minutes they spend on the ground rivals the hours and hours of chaos a hurricane of stronger proportions can muster. I don't taket twisters lightly. Not after seeing the aftermath from my parents' photo books and first hand when they touch down.

Unless you liek absolutely ballistic weather, don't move to northwest louisiana >.>

for the last few years, i've been really out of touch with the gaming industry. It all started with the launch of the nex gen consoles- and my distinct lack of funding to fuel my gaming rage.
Well money's not a concern these days so I'm ale to freely invest in my sinfully sweet obsession- video games.

if you see my favorites from the last hour, all Altair. and for pete's sake, fuck out the altair/ezio bullshit guys. They're fucking /RELATED/. Okay so sure, 3 centuries seperate their lineage but c'mon. what's ezio gunna tell his kids 'yeah kids i sleapt with your great great grand father'. *full body shudder*. Stupid fucking fangirls/boys. always ruining the fandom. Drawing Alex mercer (and soon to be Altair) in pinups is as far as i'll take this fangasm bandwagon because frankly taking it further would.. well, be really really creepy :[ No yaoi for sylver. Cept maybe Cloud and Zack but they get special exclusions cause of what they went through D: kinda broke back mountainish.

why am I writing another useless stupid journal entry about absolutely nothing? because its 5 fucking am, and I can't get my brain to wind down. Im so fucking wired right now. 3 songs stuck in ym head (Fireflies by Owl City, the chase theme from AC, and Alex' theme from Prototype). you try sleeping with that train wreck in your head. Add on top of that this awesome idea I had for a picture of altair posing, hidden blade crimson with blood, and an eagle majestically landing on his other wrist. K. not original at all but who gives a damn.

gah.. hard to sleep through what i've mentioned, and this looming Bat avatar release on Second Life.. the fact that i've got friends coming to visit next friday for halloween *SO EXCITED*, buying a new 46"LED tv soon.. stoked about that. got 3 games I wanna play, cant wait for AC2 and ME2.. kinda bummed about the new Jak game. Fuck you High IMpact games for disgracing a gorgeous franchise. and fuck you naughty Dog for selling it to those incapable fools.
